WLAN Pi Integration! - WLAN Pi's are amazing. NetViews now
supports them natively! Menu control, services, multi-card
captures, and more coming! Enjoy. Find it under "Tools->WLANPi
Remote Interface". We will put it in a better place once more is
ready for prime-time. Thank you WLAN Pi team for an AMAZING
product.
Huge performance boost. I went back and fixed some of my code,
fixing CPU and memory issues.
For the toolbar menu dropdown, we now show Wi-Fi details even if
you are on a wired connection

We are now using IPLocate.io to get more specific location
information. NOTE: There is a limit of how many requests an IP can
make in a hour. So we cache data on your local machine to prevent
hitting that threshold.
The trial period has been reset - so if you are past the 7 days,
and want to try NetViews again, please do!
Fixed some of the AP vendors to be more concise.

Ethernet's interface speed and duplex. NetViews also will alert

Find my AP! Have you ever wondered WHERE the access point you are
connected to is? You don't need to guess anymore. Just click "Find
AP" in the wireless section, walk around a bit. Turn on the sound
feature for even better sleuthing.
If your interface goes offline, NetViews is smart enough to move
you to a different one automatically. Now, the program is also
smart enough to go back to the correct one when it comes back
online. Thank you Karsten I., keep them coming!

Wi-Fi Audit Checklist - Basic - You can now do extensive testing
on your Wi-Fi network, and make sure it's top-notch!
Standard and Pro Tiers - With the feature list we now have, and
the planned features, Pro has gone up in price. To help those that
can't afford it, a new standard version has been released. You can
still do what you need, or step up to the Pro to get even more
(including a soon-to-appear toolbar!)

We've added a number of new data points in the main view for
access points, including access point name (if available)! We
support Aruba, Cisco/Meraki, Mist, and several others. We now show
the following:

Channel Utilization (If available)
Roaming Features
AP transmit power (If available)
Better channel display - we now not only show the primary
channels - but also the secondary
Legacy rates enabled (if using 2.4 GHz) - we now show if
slower 2.4 GHz rates are enabled.

We've added Wi-Fi audit checklists! Thanks to the amazing work
of WLAN Professionals and specifically Keith Parsons (Details), we've added a feature to quickly audit your current wireless
connection. There will be three tests in total you can perform,
but with this initial release, Client Checklist is ready to go!
Ping Timeline - you can now see the history of successes and
failures for pings. Now you can blink, and not miss a thing.
We now perform better checks to see if we can packet capture
properly and if location services is enabled. If they are not,
we let you know. We also let you know if you aren't on the
default gateway interface.
If you are using a static IP address, we show that better (more
verbose), and provide a link to the network settings so you can
alter it.
NOTE: 1.24a fixes some formatting issues in the checklist
report, and corrects the channel width size (Thank you Karsten
I.)

Understand your network, at a glace!
Host Scanner - We are excited about this one! Many have requested
a deeper search for a single host. Now, we can. Do you want to see
what other ports are running, and how they respond? Want to know
the time difference between your computer and a remote one running
NTP (Thanks Jiri B.)? Also, try putting a dns name in (eg:
www.netviews.app) and you will get certificate details for ALL
domains, DNS information, etc. You can right click an entry from
the scan results to quickly scan a host as well.

QR Code generator for Wi-Fi networks. Find it in the tools menu!
Using the WPA3 specification, PingStalker/NewViews can now
generate both simple and advanced QR codes that automatically
connect mobile phones and devices with cameras to a wireless
network.
The app can now show a badge for how many hosts are currently
down, and will "bounce" the icon once on status changes. Can be
disabled/enabled in the settings dialog. - Thank you Nicolai F.

PingStalker will be renamed - In a future update, the PingStalker
App will automatically be renamed to NetViews. It
will still be the same app, just with a new name.
In a future update, a few weeks from now, we will be releasing a standard version of PingStalker / NewViews. For anyone that has already purchased
a license - you have pro, and always will. At that time,
NetViews Pro will go up in price for new purchases. So now is
a great time to purchase if you haven't already! NewViews Standard will
still cost $10.00, but will not have some of the new features being
released.
This. Is. Awesome. For wireless users, you can now click the
"Connection Timeline" tab at the bottom of the screen and see a 1
hour, 2 hour, 4 hour, or 8 hour view of your wireless history.
Want to see your roaming history throughout the day? Go for it! It
also provides a "grade" which can help in seeing why macOS decided
to make you roam. Hover over the colors and events for more details!
This is also great for very simple testing of Wi-Fi coverage at the
office or house. Can't wait to hear what you think! - Thank you Keith

scan results or the new connection timeline, just hide it to see

NEW DATA POINT: We now show/report MCS Index! Under the wireless
section, we now show the Wi-Fi mode (eg: 802.11ax, 802.11ac, etc),
MCS index, and how many streams you are using. This really
provides a quick wireless quality check
Added ratings to Signal, MCS index, and SNR - We now have a "dot"
that shows the rating for each of these values. Quickly see if
something is off!

Wi-Fi Sniffer/Monitor Mode! If Wireshark is installed on the
computer, and proper permissions have been set, you can now
click the Wi-Fi icon from the main window, and start Wi-Fi
sniffing FAST. While this disconnects you from the wireless, you
will automatically be reconnected after.
